As a freshman at Hamilton College, Bongiovi became a subject of headlines after her addiction to drugs came forth in November 2012. Stephanie had a heroin overdose and was lying unconscious in her dorm, which many sources explained as a near-death experience.
Reportedly, a medical team rescued the star kid and admitted her to the hospital. Later, she regained consciousness and phoned her singer father. Speaking of the experience, the Bon Jovi founder then told Metro, “It was my worst moment as a father,” but also admitted Stephanie’s recovery was the greatest of all.
Later the investigation saw her and her collegemate in police custody in the charge of drug possession. But as per the New York State’s Good Samaritan law, the two got an early release. Since that incident, Bongiovi remains away from drugs.
