Michelle Visage Removed Her Breast Implants Due to Hashimoto’s Disease

Back in 2019, Michelle Visage opened up about her battle with Hashimoto’s disease. The illness led her to remove the breast implants she always wanted to keep.

Talking with People, the TV personality said, “I feel strong and healthy, and for the first time. I feel like I am doing something to regain and reclaim my life and health. Visage added, “Nothing was making sense. And I kept coming back to the fact that when you get implants, you sign off, and on the paperwork, it says that complaints of autoimmune disorders have been reported, but there is no conclusive evidence that implants cause this. It felt like they were just negating everything they have heard over and over.”

Prior to removing her implants, Visage admitted she was obsessed with having a body like Mae West. Talking with Guardian, the ‘Seduction’ singer said, “When I was young, I was looking through an encyclopedia for a school report and came across Mae West. Her style was amazing to me: she was a drag queen. I remember writing in my diary: ‘When will I get breasts?'”

It must be hard for her to remove the implants, but she revealed it was much easier for her to dress now, following getting them removed.
