Heidi Montag Opened Up About Her Recovery Following Disaster Plastic Surgeries
Back in 2019, Heidi Montag, talking with ‘Today,’ opened up about her plastic surgeries experience that did not end well. The reality star took back to 2010 when she was just 23 years old and revealed she underwent ten body-altering surgeries, including a brow lift, a chin reduction, and lots of Botox.
The surgeries which were supposed to make her happy and more confident did the exact opposite of what Heidi expected. Heidi said, “I was way too young to make such a life-changing decision. I was under so much pressure because it was the beginning of comment sections and negativity and hate on the internet.”
The singer further added, “I wish I had waited and not made a decision so young because I have long-term health complications. I was there for every second, so I know all about that journey. Let me just tell any ladies and gentlemen and gender nonconforming folks out there — just everyone: The phrase ‘minor surgical procedure’ does not exist. That’s the hard lesson we learned. There’s no such thing as one minor surgical procedure. And there’s certainly no such thing as ten minor surgical procedures.”
The actress revealed she almost her life back in 2018, as a result of her plastic surgery. Actress emphasized how her heart stopped beating, scaring her husband and family that they lost her. Following her life-threatening experience, the reality TV star advises everyone to seek help and assistant if someone is insecure about their look.
She wants everyone to know, who is considering going under the knife due to peer pressure, that recovery following the surgery is devastating, so that’s what all should keep in mind. Heidi, however, stressed she doesn’t mind a lot of enhancement on her body, but plastic surgery, according to her, is not something that should be glorified.
Here’s What Heidi Montag Changed Through Plastic Surgery
Montag underwent surgery for multiple procedures at a time. The reality star was in 10-hour plastic surgery, and when she woke up from it, the pain almost killed her. “It was the most painful procedure, as they cut the whole back of her ears and pinned it back and cut some her earlobe too.
Heidi did not just go under the knife for her face; in fact, she changed her whole body. From breast augmentation to slimming down the thighs and injecting Botox to her buttocks, she went all in for the plastic surgery. The result, however, was not something she was expecting; in fact, it was more frightening.
As you can see on the picture itself, the surgeries left unsightly scars on her body. The actress said, “People have fewer scars from car accidents than I have on my body. I’m always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands.” However, physical scars were not the only thing she suffered; the reality star equally suffered from psychological turmoil as well as post-surgery.
The actress revealed she has scars on her chin following a chin reduction surgery, a bald spot on her hairline from a brow lift, a jagged line from having ears pinned back, lumpy legs and four spots on her lower back and below the buttocks from liposuction, uneven breasts, a chest stretchmark and scars around her nipples from a breast augmentation.
