Amy Schumer Opted for Liposuction: Full Story Here
The Emmy-nominated actress/comedian Schumer has revealed that she had opted for Liposuction.
After all these years, she chooses to do plastic surgery because of serious health scarce.
First of all, what is Liposuction? Why do so many people opt for this procedure?
Basically, Liposuction is a surgical procedure that uses a suction technique to remove extra fat from a specific part of the body.
It can be hips, thighs, arms, neck or any other body part that an individual thinks needs shapes or contours changed.
People usually go for Lipo if they cannot lose weight naturally.
According to the 2020 statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of Liposuction is $3,637.
Schumer Admits Having A Plastic Surgery
In January 2022, the Trainwreck actress Schumer shared an Instagram post revealing that she had done Lipo.
The actress posed in a one-piece look noting that she was at 170 lbs, and thanked her doctors for helping her. Amy also revealed that she finally feels good.
The Instagram post read:
“I feel good. Finally. It’s been a journey; thanks for helping me get my strength back @seckinmd (endo) @jordanternermd (Lipo):
Further, she wrote how her endometriosis changed her perception of plastic surgery.
“Never thought I would do anything but talk to me after your uterus doesn’t contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40.
Similarly, in her interview with Chelsea Handler on her Dear Chelsea podcast, in March 2022, the Tony-nominated actress got further candid about her weight loss procedure.
The I Feel Pretty actress said that a combination of traumatic events-firstly, a difficult pregnancy, birth, struggle with endometriosis and finally having her uterus and appendix removed led to Liposuction.
“Cut to turning 40, after having a C-section and being like, ‘Hi! I can’t feel my FUPA anymore!'”.
“Like, and it just is out there and endometriosis. And my endometriosis surgery, I was like, I healed well. So, I was like, ‘Can I get Lipo? And I got Lipo, and I’m feeling really good.”
Amy Schumer Wanted To “Be Real” About Her Body Transformation
Celebrities having plastic surgeries is not new to us; however, they often choose to be mum about the procedure.
But not Schumer, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo writer wanted to be real with her fans.
There was lots of buzz regarding her drastic weight loss, and Amy knew she had to come clean.
“Everybody on camera is doing this s—, I just wanted to be real about it,” says the actress/comedian in an interview.
“I just wanted to say that, because if anybody sees me in pictures or anything and they’re like, she looks thinner, and whatever: it’s because I had a surgery.”
Schumer further said on Dear Chelsea, “It’s too hard, and I just want to be real about it.”
The actress wanted her fans to know that her weight loss journey was not as simple as it looked.
After having her uterus and appendix removed, she understood her body had changed a lot, and it shook her confidence.
It was not like she was always a “thin” actress. However, this time, she felt different. Amy was not herself, and she admitted to having tired of watching herself in the mirror.
Self-loving should always be one’s priority.
